Interim Commercial Finance Business Partner

Fully Remote

£75,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)

Investigo are delighted to be supporting this fast growth technology business for the recruitment on an interim Commercial Finance Business Partner.

Working under a highly driven and energetic Director of Commercial Finance you will work very closely with the sales directors and the wider sales organisation (c. 150 people), providing insightful financial analysis, strategic guidance and support to enable effective decision-making and help achieve our business objectives. This role requires a strong blend of financial expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct financial analysis to provide insight into business performance, identify trends, and highlight areas of opportunity or concern.
  • Feed into the weekly trade pack first thing on a Monday to provide engaging insight.
  • Oversee the design of business reporting with support from the reporting team,
  • Ad hoc support of management in operational planning and decision-making processes.

Business Partnering:

  • Partner closely with the sales management team to understand and support in achieving their objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Design and manage sales incentive structure, and work with Sales leadership team to set challenging but motivating sales targets that align with business objectives
  • Preparation and presentation of business cases
  • Pipeline reporting and assessment of major new contracts / renewals, ensuring that contract profitability is approved prior to agreement with the customer

Financial Planning and Forecasting:

  • Be a leading figure to support with the annual budget and financial forecasts for relevant areas in collaboration with the management team.
  • Analyse variances between actual results and forecasts, investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions as necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across the Sales organisation, fostering collaboration and alignment towards common goals.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts and insights in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders, facilitating understanding and buy-in.
  • Be actively engaged with the finance, IT and sales functions to understand motivations and ways of working, have a positive outlook and encourage problem solving.
