From football tournaments to client quizzes, from bake sales to bike rides
We host a huge range of charity events every year that our people, clients, and candidates can all get involved with. We even challenge our teams to put on their own fundraising activities for charities close to their hearts.
Our hugely ambitious objective is to raise over £100,000 for charity over the year, which we first achieved in 2021. Now we’ve set the bar so high, we’re incredibly determined to keep on hitting new fundraising records, all in the name of fantastic causes that make a real difference to people’s lives.
We do all the usual stuff you’d expect – quizzes, bake sales and the like – but we also do a load of things you wouldn’t. Here’s just a selection of our recent charity events.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
A fearless group from Investigo completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – a gruelling 12-hour trek across the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The team successfully made it through the 25-mile route (not forgetting the 1,585 metres of ascent!) to raise an incredible total of £2,267 for our charity partner LIFEbeat.
The Big Investigo Cycle
We’ve been running the Big Investigo Cycle for over eight years across different cycling routes in the UK and Europe. The latest challenge saw 22 of our team cycle from the Hook of Holland through to Arnhem and then on to Amsterdam, taking in the river Waal, the city of Arnhem, the Hoog Buurlose Heide nature reserve, and the fort city of Naarden, among other beautiful sights. In doing so, they raised a truly amazing £10,300 for LIFEBeat.
Charity client quiz
We were joined by clients from across our network for our charity quiz, our biggest external event of the year, held at The Fable in London. The evening included a raffle and an auction of such fantastic prizes as dinner at Lucky Cat, tickets to Diana Ross and Elton John, corporate hospitality at Tottenham Hotspur, and a weekend in Paris, kindly donated by our colleagues and partners. Thanks to our attendees’ generosity, we raised a fantastic total of well over £30,000 for St Mungo’s, the most we’ve ever raised from the event, which went towards helping to end homelessness.
The Big Investigo Run and Walk
Investigo people were invited to walk, run or jog 10km to raise funds for St Mungo’s. To help their preparation, we gave everyone a training pack with everything they needed to get ready for the day, including expert nutrition and training advice from professional coaches, and guidance on rest and recovery from our Wellbeing and Engagement Committee. We also issued them with a Big Investigo Run t-shirt, an energy bar, and energy gel. Our participants managed to raise over £4,000.
