We believe that charity’s not just about putting our hands in our pockets. It’s about being hands on, too. As a team, there’s nothing we love more than getting together to help out worthwhile causes. In addition to their annual leave, we give our people volunteering days that they can use to support the charity of their choice. This helps them connect with the charity by truly understanding the impact of its work first-hand. As a company, we engage in new corporate charity partnerships every year, and bring them to life by encouraging our people to volunteer. This is just a cross-section of what we’ve been up to over the last few years.

Panathlon

As part of our 2019 BIG Investigo Give campaign, we supported Panathlon, a charity that gives children with disabilities and special needs opportunities to engage in competitive sport. Our people helped run their sporting events over the course of the year, which was incredibly enjoyable for the children who took part, and fantastically rewarding for us.

LIFEbeat

We’re mentoring young people as part of our partnership with LIFEbeat, which aims to improve the mental health, wellbeing and positive potential of young people by building creative communities and a sense of belonging. Through virtual and face-to-face sessions, our volunteers are offering their advice, support and wisdom to help improve young people’s lives – and we’re learning just as much from them as they are from us.

Trees for Cities

We’re committed to donating to Trees for Cities for every placement we make, and as part of this, our people can roll their sleeves up and plant a tree. Trees for Cities is an independent environmental charity that delivers urban tree planting projects across the UK and oversees.

We also help them revitalise forgotten spaces, create healthier environments, and build edible playgrounds for children, helping to bring to life their vision of urban forests in socially and economically deprived areas.
