Lead Service Transition Manager / SC Cleared / Service Transition / Project Manager / ITIL

  • Initial 9-month contract role
  • Southampton (3 days per week)
  • £550-£600 inside IR35
  • ASAP start
  • Active SC clearance required (cannot be lapsed due to the timeframe of this role)

Our client, a leading public sector body is looking for a Lead Service Transition Manager to come on board for a 9-month initial contract. You will be accountable for ensuring successful transition of changes from Project delivery into the Operational environments, including key enhancements to, or introduction of new systems to the Agency.

You will take responsibility for ensuring that new products and services are transitioned in adherence to strategy and process which, in turn provides the wider Agency with improved capability and systems, enabling key activities for our customers including saving lives at sea.

* You will ensure complex solutions are successfully and securely transitioned from Design state into Operational usage throughout the Project and Programme Lifecycles across all members of the Service Transition team.

* You will coordinates activities, and manages the team, across multiple projects, with cross-agency stakeholders and suppliers and ensuring full support, documentation and customer uptake is in place, unlocking enhanced capabilities for colleagues, and actively aiming to improve the ways in which we operate at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accountable for the design, implementation and adherence of Service Transition Policies, Processes and procedures including transition plans.

* Encompasses and encourages an agile, fast paced and innovative approach to ways of working whilst seeking and implementing continual service improvement activities.

* Accountable for Service and Operational activities including service readiness reviews, defining new product or service acceptance criteria and documentation in line with Service Transition policies and methodologies.

Essential:

* Hold ITIL 3 or ITIL 4 qualification.

* Tangible experience of defining service acceptance criteria.

* Demonstrable Change Management experience through either leading a change team or change projects.

* Risk Management experience - identify risk and apply effective mitigation planning.

* Experience of working with different project methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, DevOps and Hybrid models.
