Job description

Exclusively working with a growing Real Estate company, looking to bring on an Assistant Accountant. This is a great role for a Part-Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA studier.

  • Hybrid: 3 days in 2 from home
  • Location: London
  • Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + study support

What can you expect?

  • Overseeing and supporting the external accounts payable team to ensure invoices are processed and queries actioned in a timely manner
  • Supporting with the review and processing of group payment runs
  • Managing bank accounts and preparation of weekly cash forecasts
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting to Shareholders and other Stakeholders
  • Perform supplier credit checks, providing recommendations to the development team
  • Support the external finance team ensuring completeness and accuracy of ledger posting
  • Coordinate with external accountants to ensure all VAT and CIS returns are accurate and submitted on a timely
  • Participate in monthly budget holder meetings and assist with tracking actual vs budgeted expenditure
  • Support with the year-end financial statements preparation and audit

What skills/attributes will you bring?

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 1-2 years of experience in real estate or a related sector, OR 3-4 years of real estate experience without formal qualifications.
  • Solid understanding of accounting best practices and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates impeccable integrity and a strong commitment to excellence.
