Job description

A UK Banking Group in London is hiring currently for a Senior Manager in their Regulatory Reporting team. This role is crucial in overseeing the team responsible for producing Capital and Liquidity returns to the PRA. You'll provide oversight of the reporting, as well as leadership to a team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all prudential regulatory returns, including COREP, liquidity, and BOE, are accurately and promptly submitted.
  • Review and challenge the submissions of the Regulatory Reporting team to ensure compliance with relevant requirements and regulations.
  • Deliver new regulatory returns and reports, coordinating with relevant staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Change teams to enhance and automate existing regulatory reporting processes.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including Finance, Risk, and Treasury, to ensure thorough reviews and challenges are conducted.
  • Maintain robust processes and controls to meet PRA requirements and expectations.
  • Stay updated with prudential regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation of changes, including policy and procedural updates.
  • Produce accurate internal reports on regulatory metrics, including month-end reports against regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting and communication to senior management, including formal reporting to the Board and Exco on key regulatory ratios.
  • Prepare and manage key capital, leverage, liquidity, and other CRD IV disclosures in interim and annual financial statements.
  • Finalize interim and year-end Pillar 3 regulatory disclosures within required timescales, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Work with Investor Relations to address prudential regulatory queries from investors and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in the Horizon Scanning Forum and Assumption and Interpretation Forum to document and implement regulatory assumptions and interpretations.
  • Coordinate responses to regulatory data requests and ensure a robust three lines of defence (3LoD) model for regulatory reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Regulatory Reporting team, promoting an inclusive culture and acting as a role model.
  • Recruit, train, and manage high-calibre employees, ensuring the team is well-staffed and adequately trained.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with direct reports, providing constructive feedback and facilitating personal development.
  • Manage all team HR issues, including absenteeism and disciplinary matters, in collaboration with the HR Business Partner.
  • Ensure team members complete required training and stay informed about internal communications.

Skills & Experience:

Prudential Regulation Expertise: Extensive experience in prudential regulatory reporting and in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Alteryx experience is desirable.

Organisational Skills: Highly organised self-starter with excellent attention to detail.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Team Collaboration: Proven experience in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
