  • £420 - £440 outside IR35

Our public sector client are looking for a DV Cleared Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the Platforms team to support various project deliveries, across multiple services. You will be a subject matter expert within the Active Directory Technical space and provide technical advice on the best technical solutions and process improvement moving forward.

Key Accountabilities -

  • Carry out routine configuration, installation and set up of Active Directory services, including PKI, DNS and Group Policies
  • Build and troubleshoot infrastructure solutions using architect's drawings, diagrams and/or data flows;
  • Identify and take ownership of technical problems and incidents; manage, coordinate and prioritise tasks to resolve technical incidents as quickly as possible;
  • Identify and investigate repeat issues and faults, initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns and trends, consulting specialists where required; determine the appropriate remedy and preventative measures; assist with their implementation;
  • Develop and document change requests to improve control / reduce risk to security performance and availability; analyse and assess impact of change requests;

Essential skills & experience

  • Microsoft role-based certification - Expert and relevant product certifications -
  • Active Directory Management, PKI, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
  • MS Exchange, Windows OS
  • Practitioner level knowledge of hardware, software and systems being supported
  • PS Scripting
  • RBACS
  • Substantial experience in relevant roles, including technologies in an enterprise environment, and of working within a secure environment, e.g. MOD, Cabinet Office

Skills:

  • Programming and build; PS, Ansible
  • Systems Operations; Automation
  • Analyse, interrogate and evaluate data;
  • Draft/author professional/technical documents.

There will be a requirement to work a number of on-call shifts as part of this role covering standard Business As Usual (BAU) services. You will be is expected to complete a minimum of six on-call shifts across a four week cycle.
