Senior Data Engineer

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000

Location: Birmingham - Hybrid working

About the Role:

Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure technologies.
Develop, optimise, and maintain high-performance data warehousing solutions.
Implement and enforce best practices to drive quality and efficiency across the team.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure the successful delivery of data-driven initiatives.
Mentor and coach team members to foster growth and elevate their technical skill sets.

About You:

Proven experience with Microsoft Azure data technologies.
Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark.
Deep understanding of Kimball dimensional modelling and data warehousing.
Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric, ADLS2, and Power BI (for data visualisation).
Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps, and cloud security best practices
Strong hands-on experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.
Solid understanding of security and compliance in cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on Azure environments.
