Working as part of a wider team of 7, where you will be fully supported in your duties, the role of Principal Developer will be integral to the team.

Key Responsibilities -

Take a primary role in the maintenance and support of developments operated by the team, proactively monitoring performance and resolving issues.
Take the lead developer role on technical projects that have an impact on existing integrations, i.e. system upgrades and implementations.
Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives, especially across development and integration specialisms.

Essential Skills required -

and monitoring enterprise integrations in SoftwareAG Enterprise Service
Bus (ESB).

- Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following components of
the SAG product set:
Oracle and SQL server JDBC Adapters and Connection; Startup
Services, API Gateway v10.5 or higher; Integration Server; WmFlatFile &

and Variable Substitution, Salesforce Cloud stream Adapters.
- Understanding of common internet protocols and markup languages for
data transfer EG: JSON, XML, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP etc.
- Experience of contributing to testing.
- Ability to work with different stakeholders, excellent communication skills and excellent analysis, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

The university is moving from Enterprise Service Bus to Microsoft technologies across the next 18 months so you will have the opportunity to be part of a large migration.

This is a role where you will have the opportunity to work as a senior member of the team leading on your own remit and given the autonomy to deliver on your duties and responsibilities. This is a hybrid on site role with the role holder needing to come on site on an as and when basis - there is a huge amount of flexibility around being present on site however.
The role offers excellent benefits including 33-35 days annual leave with additional closure days across the year and a generous pension scheme, staff parking and discounted travel, recreational facilities use (gym membership / food on campus scheme), discounted learning at the university plus many more great benefits.

If you're looking for a role where you can really be a part of a team, utilise current skills and learn further - please apply today.
