Portfolio Manager - Remote - £75,000 - £80,000
We're excited to be recruiting for a Portfolio Manager for a global Engineering company with Head Quarters based in Cheltenham. This is a brand-new role as part of the build of a new PMO function - the role will own 299 projects and be integral to the successful delivery of those projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Portfolio Management experience that wants to build and run their own practise and have full autonomy over how that's executed.
Daily Responsibilities for the Portfolio Manager:
· Successful delivery of the IS and Digital Portfolio including definition and delivery ensuring alignment to strategic and business demand
· Successful delivery of the resource management, benefits realisation, investment case management, dependency management and risk management
· Successful management of the 3-5-year forecast delivery plan and associated change budget
· Day to day management of the Triskelltool across the portfolio
· Day to day management of the demand management process and monthly/quarterly reviews
· Management and maintenance of the PMO Framework and playbook, ensuring that quarterly continuous improvement cycles are implemented
· Management of the global resource on demand model
· Completion of PMO compliance cycle and project deep-dives as needed
· For quality driven portfolio reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual purposes
· Successfully manage a global testing on demand service
· For resolving first line escalations from across the portfolio
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record within Portfolio Management / PMO Management / Programme Management or Resource Management
- Previous experience within one of the following sectors: Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - natural ability to influence and build relationships
- Strong people management skills
- Highly organised and able to prioritise
