Network Services Engineer - Unified Communications
Contract: 6 Months
IR35: Inside IR35
Daily Rates: Competitive
York- Hybrid
In this role you will be responsible for helping to delivery a world class IT network management services across the customer network.
You will be involved in the end-to-end delivery and performance of the customer facing network services such as Unified Communications, Telephony, Mobile Services and Video Conferencing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective operation of the IT customer network, including but not limited to:
- Site Connectivity.
- Secure Wi-Fi (Site).
- Web Security (in part).
- Unified Communication including meeting rooms, video conferencing, telephony (telephony systems, fixed line, VGN) & mobile.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM).
- Internet and VPN Service.
- IT Disaster Recovery.
- Ensure all relevant customer network hardware, software/firmware is within supported life. Work with vendors to obtain, schedule and implement updates.
- Review and respond to out of hours critical incidents
Knowledge and experience:
- Day to day operational performance of the UC network to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Changes to the UC network to meet ongoing business demands.
- Delivering continuous service improvement
- Emergency response to critical incidents.
- Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and concepts including LAN, WAN and WLAN.
- Experience of running network security.
- Proven technical experience of local area networks, internet services, telephone systems, call centre services, mobile services, video conferencing, telephony and other hardware and software.
- Experience of working with third party providers of network services.
- Unified communications solution delivery and support.
- Delivering/supporting fixed line and NGN/VGN services.
- Delivering mobile technology (hardware and services).
- Video conferencing solution architecture and delivery.
- Experience of delivering rapid deployment connectivity solutions into challenging geographical locations.
- Experience of running an MDM solution.
- Technical knowledge of customer network systems.
- Technical knowledge of both an on premise and cloud Windows environment.
