Job description

Experienced Data Engineer required for an immediate start!

- Outside IR35
- 3 months initial contract- possible extension until March 25 dependant on performance and deliverables
- Fully Remote
- Start date- End of July

Overview:
- Solid experience in MS SQL with some exposure to Oracle
- NEC Data Loaders, preferably
- NEC Housing Management System (SaaS product)
- Data mapping, extraction, transformation, loading
- Building ETL data pipelines (on-premise)
- Data validation
- ETL Testing
- Proven experience of adhering to industry best practices for ETL Essential experience:
- Must have worked as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team
- Must have worked alongside Business Analysts and Technical Architect/Lead to provide steer, and implement technical solutions towards agreed deliverables
- Ability to troubleshoot data migration issues
- Worked previously on migrating data INTO NEC HMS
- Worked previously on migrating data FROM Universal Housing

Nice to have skills:
- Understanding of NEC HMS data schema and experience of using data loaders - Building reports in NEC using Business Objects or Power BI

Responsible for:
* Data mapping
* Data migration from UH and satellite systems into NEC cloud hosted platform
* Data transformation and loading
* Building data pipelines
* Building automated data validation as part of data migration
* Build reports * Handover and KT to selective members of staff

Outcomes:
* Support and advice on data mapping
* Support data cleanse
* Plan the data mapping and migration
* Implement the data migration from UH and satellite systems to NEC cloud hosted platform
* All scripts and code must be written according to best practices and can be rerun iteratively
* Build customised reports where required

Notes to Applicants: The role is fully remote but candidate must be based in UK. The role will be contracted until end November 2024, with a further extension until the end of March 2025, based on performance of deliverables'/statement of work, adhering to outside IR35 regulations. The role also involves working alongside another data engineer so reusable aspects of the framework will be available. Candidates with previous experience of NEC Housing
