Our client a future-focused and technology driven public sector client, is on the hunt for a Business Applications & Data Manager to join on a permanent bases. The aim of the role will be to provide strategic direction for business applications and data management and development to meet the organisations corporate and business objectives contained in the 5 Year Corporate Plan and the DD&T Strategy. You will also advise the Head of Digital, Data, Technology & Facilities on the roadmap for development of existing and new applications within the organisation and to take a leading role in delivering these projects.

This includes management, user support and training for all applications including MS Dynamics 365 CRM, MS SharePoint Online and other applications built on custom platform. Working with the IT team to support users to make best and appropriate use of these applications to ensure efficiency in business processes and compliance with statutory requirements. Working closely with the IT helpdesk to provide an effective and responsive service to users wherever they are working and to proactively engage with users to ensure applications are fit for purpose.

Key accountabilities include;

  • To ensure teams across the Commission make best use of the organisation's key applications such as its SharePoint Online implementation 'ECHO' and CRM.
  • To have a detailed technical understanding of the potential uses of key applications and how they can work together including integration's.
  • To manage the continuous development of key applications including engaging with users to gain feedback, specification of enhancements and the management of deployment of system changes.
  • Managing a team of 4 technical support staff and providing leadership.

You will come from an IT background, with an ITIL qualification and successfully delivered an agile project. Ideally your background will be around Change Management/Service Delivery, or IT Project/Delivery Management. You will also have experience of data visualisation technologies and techniques, virtual desktop environments and in developing and implementing data management strategies.
