Infrastructure Lead - 12 Month FTC - £85,000 Per Annum - Software House - Uk

My client, a leading UK Software House, are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to join them on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract paying up to £85,000 Per Annum. This is a fully remote role and will need somebody to start on ASAP.

This is your opportunity to own the strategy, modernise the tech stack, and build a cloud-first, scalable, and secure infrastructure that powers the business. You'll lead a team of skilled engineers, shaping best-in-class solutions that enhance performance, security, and efficiency across the clients IT landscape.

• Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, including cloud, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux administration.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud-based infrastructure services.
• Networking expertise, including firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, Switches, DNS, DHCP, and Zero Trust security models.
• Experience leading and developing IT infrastructure teams.
• ITIL-based service management experience, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and third-party services.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security (e.g., Azure Security Centre, Defender for Cloud, SIEM solutions).

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Python scripting).
• Experience with automation and DevOps methodologies, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
• Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
• Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
