Interim Group Financial Accountant

Recruiting on behalf of a leading corporation based in central Surrey who are looking for a 6 month Interim Group Accountant. The role will support the Group reporting team during a peak in requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated financial information for the Annual Report, half-year and full-year press releases and Audit Committee papers, together with analysis and insights.
• Ensure that the Group's external financial disclosures are accurate and compliant with financial reporting standards and relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare analysis for Group external reporting and accounting matters
• Prepare analysis for specialist Group accounting areas, including goodwill/intangible asset impairment testing and M&A transactions, and supporting accounting papers as appropriate.
• Support the external audit process at Group for half-year and year-end to ensure that audit deliverables are provided to the agreed timetable and that audit issues are closed on a timely basis.
• Prepare regional and country balance sheet analysis and briefing papers to identify risks to the Group's balance sheet and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of the preparation or audit of consolidated financial statements. The ability to work well within a team environment and liaise across finance teams is essential for the position. Previous experience of HFM would be advantageous.
