Group Finance Manager
Hospitality Group
£55,000 - £65,000 + 10% bonus & benefits
Hybrid working - South West London
Key Areas of Responsibility
Management Accounting
- Work closely with the management accounts team to produce monthly site P&Ls.
- Attend monthly P&L meetings with the operations team, and liaise directly with site management to clear P&L queries.
- Work with the Financial Controller to produce monthly consolidated group management accounts, board and bank reporting.
- Help to manage key monthly balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliation processes and deposit accounting.
Fixed assets and projects
- Track and report on capital expenditure across multiple developments, ensuring they align with project budgets and timelines.
- Liaise with project managers and property team to get a deep understanding of the individual project costings, and challenge where appropriate.
- Produce meaningful reporting and analysis for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Maintain and manage the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate capitalisation, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
Financial Reporting
- Assist with building and maintaining key reporting from Sage Intacct to allow clear information sharing across the wider business.
- Including site P&Ls, board reporting and dashboards to track on key control areas.
- Financial statements and audit
- Assist the Financial Controller with producing the consolidated annual financial statements and financial statements for 10+ subsidiaries.
- Help liaise with the external auditors to successfully deliver the annual financial audit.
Other responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Controller with designing and documenting key internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with statutory compliance responsibilities, for example, gender pay gap, national minimum wage and ESG reporting.
- Support ad-hoc financial reconciliations, analysis and projects as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an established university, with a strong academic record.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualification required.
- 1-3 years post-qualification experience, preferably within industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, in particular, experience with Sage Intacct is highly desirable.
- Strong Excel skills is key.
- A personable and friendly character who will be a team player
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team to achieve results
- Confidence to work with senior stakeholders across the business
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills
