Corporate Programme Management Office Lead

A well known London Borough is seeking to recruit a Corporate Programme Management Office Lead on a contract basis to start as soon as possible.

Hybrid working pattern between remote and London location. Must be willing to come to site to London twice a week / when necessary.

The CPMO lead provides senior leadership to define, mobilise, oversee and coordinate multiple workstreams to deliver the Council's change agenda, to achieve improved outcomes for residents. This role will manage a programme consisting of multiple workstreams with delivery across council departments. It is responsible for ensuring these are designed and delivered as a cohesive and integrated programme of work that supports and drives the Council's aspirations and delivers agreed outcomes to time, cost and quality standards.

The role will be responsible for managing a complex programme of work across the Council as well as external partners and communities. It is a high profile programme of work which will have a significant impact on the Council and borough.

Managing a budget of up to £1 million, you will matrix manage a team and lead and manage a portfolio of customer focused services in alignment with both corporate and departmental aims and priorities.

You will have excellent corporate transformation and change management skills and a track record of achievement at a management level in a similarly large and complex organisation including:
* delivering customer focused services and service improvements managing demands and pressures on the service and tight deadlines
* ensuring that the service is effectively resourced to deliver to the required standard
* planning for a minimum of one year anticipating priorities, changing landscape and predict the future service.
