Job Title: Compliance Project/Programme Manager
Job Description: We are looking for a talented Compliance Programme Manager to join our London-based investment banking client. The ideal candidate will oversee the creation, implementation, and upkeep of core compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and obtaining approval for project management tools such as project plans, charters, stakeholder management plans, risk and issues logs, communication plans, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to determine project resource needs, deliverables, and key milestones.
- Managing project plans to ensure they align with project goals and time-lines.
- Leading the preparation of monitoring and reporting activities for programs and projects.
- Providing innovative solutions through in-depth problem analysis.
- Preparing reports, presentation materials, and communications for senior stakeholders and committees.
- Ensuring all stakeholders are engaged in project scope definition and are aware of the project schedule and key milestones.
- Enhancing programs by working collaboratively with all team members.
- Coordinating with global cross-functional teams to identify, prioritise, and execute potential project enhancements.
- Staying updated on regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes to identify new risk areas.
- Working across functional teams to ensure efficient operations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Experience:
- Experience in or with financial organizations.
- Familiarity with core compliance data is advantageous but not required.
Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience in non-technology program/project management.
- 5+ years of experience in financial industry compliance.
- 5+ years of experience in process improvement.
- Experience working with executive committee leadership, control function leadership, and compliance experts.
- Proven ability to execute in complex and demanding situations.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organised.
- Executive-level presentation skills.
