I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant role for a Global Wellness organisation based in London. This is an incredibly employee centric organisation that believes in the development of their employees by empowering them to reach their full potential. You will need to have had a couple of years experience in finance with exposure to month end and management accounts.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Month end accruals and prepayments postings across a range of P&L areas including employment costs, rent and other fixed costs, utilities, IT, and licences
* Analytical review of P&L accounts, and presentation of findings to Senior Finance Manager and Financial Controller
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and undertaking actions based findings
* Business partnering with relevant teams across the company;
* Working with the Accounts Payable and Bank and Cash teams to ensure day-to-day operational finance requirements are met
* Assisting with financial audit queries
* Creation of annual budgets and review of performance against these throughout the year
* Applying knowledge gained through relevant studies to review and improve processes and controls around financial reporting of costs, capital expenditure, and cashflow, and
* Working on ad hoc projects to support the business (e.g. in relation to cost control and energy consumption).
Candidate specification:
* University degree in Accountancy (2:1 or above) and / or previous experience within a finance team
* A basic understanding of accounting principles with willingness to learn
* Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A thorough approach to work and attention to detail
* Strong analytical ability
* Sound proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
* A desire to work towards a professional finance qualification (i.e. ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)
