Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Location: Predominantly Remote (Occasional travel to York or Manchester)

Please not travel will be for training/team building days.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring that all supplier invoices are processed accurately and timely. This position is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to our offices in York or Manchester for team meetings and training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements.
  • Respond to supplier and internal queries regarding invoices and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Sage Intacct experience is a bonus!!
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to York or Manchester.
