Job description

Investigo are currently working with a leading provider of business services. Their operations cover numerous countries and the business employs over 2,000 people across multiple branches. Due to growth, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to join the team. This individual will need to have a business partnering approach and be able to present to, influence and liaise with non-finance and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist with tax planning and strategies.
  • Coordinate and prepare for external and internal audits.
  • Address audit findings and implement recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyse budget variances and report findings to management.
  • Support financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments to gather financial information.
  • Communicate financial results and findings to management.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to non-financial managers.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant
  • 3-5 years of experience in management/financial accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
