St. Albans- Hybrid

Up to £60,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of allocated P&L lines in accordance with financial period deadlines, applying accruals, prepayments, and revenue recognition policies.
Take full ownership of allocated P&L lines and explain variances month on month and to the prior year.
allocated balance sheet accounts, ensure audit-standard backup is available, and highlight all risks and opportunities to the Head of Reporting.
Collaborate with Regional Finance Managers to resolve club queries and corrections promptly.
Assist with the year-end audit, including drafting audit papers.
Review accounting processes for allocated P&L lines, recommend, and implement improvements where possible.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis of allocated income lines as required.
Participate in the monthly reporting process.
Deliver accurate monthly reporting with minimal prior period adjustments.
Fully own the end-to-end accounting process, ensuring timely completion of all balance sheet reconciliations and reporting all risks and opportunities.
Provide analysis and comments on allocated P&L lines in the monthly reporting.
Experience:

Qualified accountant with recognised accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Experience in month-end reporting within a finance team.
