Your Role & Key Responsibilities
The administration of the IT environment that supports our Finance and HR Teams will be greatly aided by your position as an IT Application Operations Analyst. You'll become the foremost authority on the application ecosystem for Finance and HR. You will be able to respond to inquiries regarding applications, or you will be able to find out who does.
Oracle Fusion (ERP, EPM, and HCM) is the main system. This role will be essential to the maintenance and functionality of our applications, helping to make sure they are set up and run well to give our users the most experience possible.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the creation of a brand new organization and culture. You will gain experience of a large IT delivery program and be able to create the help ways of working that best support a successful business.
Your Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Work with users to understand business requirements and identify and pursue opportunities for improvements in the user journey - or the technical delivery of the IT estate
- Working with Product vendors and Managed Service Support to fix defects and make changes
- Have a deep understanding of the application design, the 'as-built' configuration and operational support model
- Influencing the roadmap planning for Finance and HR applications and driving the change delivery priorities.
- Make key decisions on performance and operability including capacity and availability management, anticipating business demands and operational acceptance testing criteria.
- Contribute to service catalogue management and controlling appropriate user access.
Key interfaces:
- Role reports directly to the IT Business Operations Lead, who owns all our Supply Chain, Finance and HR technology
- Role will primarily be supporting the Finance and HR functions but will have engagement with users across the business
Requirements
- IT Background with 4+ years of experience in a Technology delivery role
- Articulate and good communicator with the ability to communicate technical issues in an easy-to-understand way.
- Experience of IT product or application ownership
- A passion for making improvements and bias for action
- Strong knowledge of architecture methodologies, principles, and frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of the team - in a "start up" mentality
Preferred Experience
- Oracle Fusion, notably Oracle ERP Cloud and / or HCM
