Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Group's multi-currency IFRS consolidation process and monthly management reporting, focusing on continuous improvements in output quality and timely consolidation of financial data
  • Manage the Group's consolidation system (Oracle FCCS) and maintain relationships with external system support providers
  • Supervise and develop two qualified accountants directly
  • Handle the accounting for Group holding companies
  • Manage the production of year-end and interim Group financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, including the Annual Report, and act as the main liaison with external auditors
  • Address the technical aspects of the Group consolidation, including dual reporting (IFRS 16 and IAS 17), disclosures, statutory cash flow statements, and auditor queries
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts for UK subsidiaries and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors
  • Support the Head of Financial Reporting by providing technical accounting guidance to the Group and divisional finance teams, and contribute to updates in the group accounting policy manual and the implementation of new standards
  • Participate in ad hoc projects that support both Group finance and business unit finance teams

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a listed Group function
  • Extensive experience in listed company reporting and multi-currency Group consolidation
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines
  • Strong aptitude for finance systems and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and present complex financial data in a reportable format
  • Solid understanding of IFRS, UK statutory accounts, and relevant disclosure requirements, including IFRS 16
  • Strong communicator, able to build relationships and present financial information clearly and confidently
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong initiative to drive projects forward
