I am recruiting for an experienced financial accountant to join a well established Restaurant Group in London. My client requires someone with a couple of years previous experience in preparation for audits, bank reconciliations and balance sheets. This is a great role with scope for progression and development.

The role is also responsible for accounting for and reporting on gift card transactions. This role will also work closely with the Cash Control and Loss Prevention Manager to report on cash and overall balance sheet health including completing periodic balance sheet reconciliations.

Key responsibilities:

Reviewing bank reconciliations on a weekly and periodic basis prepared by the finance graduate.
Oversight of the finance graduate who processes bank payments and cover when unavailable
Perform takings and revenue reconciliation for store and delivery partner income and performing balance sheet reconciliations
Performing periodic gift card accounting covering physical gift cards, e-gifts and buy a gift
Maintain bank signatories and banking administration
Performing postings to P&L which includes, recharges to restaurants, giftcard commissions and breakage, marketing costs and restaurant sales for marketing promotions
Support the Cash Control and Loss Prevention Manager with preparation of year end audit files
Other ad hoc support as required

Candidate specification:

At least 2 years' experience in a similar finance role.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to highlight issues appropriately
Drive to continually question current processes to identify improvements and drive greater efficiency
Team player
Advanced excel skills
Extremely organised with ability to work to strict deadlines
High attention to detail
Good system skills
