Investigo are excited to be working with a large client based in Watford who are looking for an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their growing team!

The role:

The Interim Finance Business Partner will provide support across the Commercial Finance Team, during transition to new ways of working, to support Senior Finance Manager with Systems during transition. To be an effective and trusted business partner to the People team, PMO & Transition teams and Finance planning & reporting. Providing value-adding decision support and insight.

  • Be an effective and trusted business partner for different Business areas, planning and reporting. Providing financial analysis, advice and proactive support.
  • Support Senior Finance Manager with BPC and transition activities
  • Drive improvements in reporting, processes and use of systems.
  • Responsible for the management reporting of these areas which primarily includes:
    • Monthly analysis of overheads and marketing expenditure, challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
    • Reviewing team structures and vacancies, approving new heads that the teams wish to recruit and ensuring managers remain within approved budgets
    • Ensuring costs are accurately reported at month end
  • Prepare the annual budget and re-forecasts for these areas, working closely with team managers to understand team structures, resource requirements and other overhead plans
  • Provide financial leadership on key business projects, ensuring that the business remains within financial governance and preparing business cases for senior management that robustly analyse the financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Ensure Finance has a clear voice in steering group/project meetings and influences upfront rather than being reactive later in the process
  • Provide quality ad-hoc and regular analysis to influence management decisions
  • Work closely with HR on overall headcount reporting, ensuring that we present an accurate picture to senior management
  • Proactively come up with new ideas to challenge current processes and assumptions.
  • Build strong relationships across the finance team and wider business
  • Be a key driver and implementer of the business change agenda - simplification and agile working - sharing best practice across the organisation

On offer:

Salary - £60,000 to £70,000

Length - 6 months FTC

Hybrid working pattern - 2/3 days in office
