Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a mid-senior level role, ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience. A strong fundamental knowledge of Excel is vital to this role, as is Sage 50 experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial reports, providing insights into trends, variances, and KPI's.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial forecasts and budgets.
• Support in providing financial modelling and analysis.
• Monitor and analyse month on month business performance, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Assist in the month-end processes ensuring accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and assist with business planning.
• Assist in the development and refinements of financial policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or in a similar financial role, ideally within a corporate or business environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced functions such as pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and financial modelling.
• Experience with financial software - Sage 50 is highly preferred
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

This role doesn't require you to be studying/ qualified with a relevant accounting body, however this is strongly preferred.
