Communications Manager // Supplier Engagement // Transformation // Supply Chain // Retail // FMCG
CONTRACT // HYBRID WORKING // £800 p/day (inside IR35)
A Global retailer has a requirement for a Communications and Supplier Engagement Lead to join their transformation programme. This candidate will lead the communication and engagement strategy for suppliers whilst collaborating closely with various teams to develop a comprehensive supplier communication strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Supplier Communication, Training and Support Strategy: Define and implement an effective strategy targeting all suppliers
- Oversight on what comms are required and when, what training is required and when, what support mechanism (e.g. answering queries) is required and when, as these will all need to be in place at the point anything is launched for it to be a success.
- Supplier Engagement: Establish strong relationships with suppliers to understand their needs, concerns, and preferences, and ensure they are supported throughout the programme.
- Targeted Communications Plan: Build and execute a segmented communication plan to cater to the unique needs of different supplier groups.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working on large transformation programmes.
- Experience in developing communication strategies and working with media or marketing agencies.
- Familiarity with organising webinars, video briefings, and virtual engagement activities.
- Experience in setting up and managing working groups, focus groups, or test groups for stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience in supplier or stakeholder engagement, ideally within a retail or supply chain setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
