I am recruiting for an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join a global FMCG company based in South West London. This role has fantastic development opportunities but will require you to have at least 3 years previous experience in a similar role with a strong accounting foundation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist Commercial finance team in providing finance analysis. Data extraction and analysis from SAP, GPM, EPOS and EAM for commercial finance reporting, variance analysis/investigation and customer profitability reporting.
- Proactively provide suggestions for improvements based on analysis
- Assist Commercial Finance Managers with preparation of budgets for planning submissions - liaising with manager and stakeholders to challenge budget accuracy.
- Provide business partnering support to the UK market functions (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Logistics); offering budget control, insights, analysis and commercial finance support on a day to day basis.
- Appraising new business plans/completed projects (seeking manager support where necessary)
- Working within an agile pool of analysts, you will be responsible for providing financial and management accounting support for the UK Commercial Finance Team, responsible for managing the UK Sales, Marketing and Opex budgets.
- Assist Commercial finance managers with budgeting, forecasting, regular financial reporting and analysis for UK market stakeholders.
- Accounting experience in a multinational organisation relevant to an FP&A function e.g reporting, budgetary control/analysis and accounting relating to accruals, prepayments and assets, business partnering
Candidate Specification:
- AAT and/or relevant accounting experience OR Student with accounting or business degree
- Have ownership and responsibility for month-end and planning tasks:- Updates in the budget trackers (actuals and forecast)- Forecast preparation- Managing actuals versus forecast and challenging teams accordingly
- Can-do attitude with the ability to use initiative and be solutions focused
