Business Solutions Engineer required for a large, London based Local Authority paying between £43,004 - £49,131 pa + excellent benefits.

Investigo have partnered with a large, well-known London based Local Authority that are recruiting for a Business Solutions Engineer to join their high performing Technology Adoption team on a permanent basis.

The role:

Based in a vibrant and easily accessible part of London with currently only 1 day required on site, the role of Business Solutions Engineer will support the development, deployment and use of the Local Authority productivity and low-code automation tools across departments, whilst supporting a community of low-code builders.

Working as part of the Technology Adoption Team in the wider IT Services remit, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills with PowerApps application development but also expand your all-round Business solutions offering with the honing of business analysis skills too. Encompassing technical development with business analysis skills ensures that you are able to offer users a rounded service and wider business solutions offering. Primarily you will work closely with users to recommend and develop Power Platform solutions that will support their daily work, using your passion for solving problems, experimenting, and tackling the challenges the Local Authority faces.

You will also lead on activities within business areas to elicit business needs that productivity tools and automations can support. Second to that but as important, you will step into doing business analysis where you will be supported in this area to facilitate workshops, engage with a range of stakeholders across the business and requirements gather where needed.

This is a fundamental role within the team and one where you will not only be supported in your own professional development but be able to utilise on current skills also. In the role of Business Solutions Engineer, this is a fantastic role for anyone with some PowerApps development experience who is looking to expand their own skill set and pick up additional skills within their career.

You will need:

  • Must have experience using PowerApps
  • Must have some experience in building applications using PowerApps (low code experience)
  • Ideally you will have a certification in the following though this is not essential - Microsoft Power Platform certifications- Fundamentals (PL-900), App Maker (PL-100), Developer (PL400)
  • A background in the configuration of systems and cloud-based productivity products are also desirable for this role
  • Continuous willingness to learn and stay up to date with emerging technology
  • Some business analysis skills, problem-solving skills - gap analysis / requirements gathering / stakeholder engagement / setting up of workshops
