BI Developer

Role: BI Developer
Location: Derby (Hybrid)
Rate: up to £400 per day (outside IR35)
Duration: 3 months

Investigo have partnered with a large PLC business currently in search for an experienced BI Developer to join the team on a 3 month contract. The role will be working in Microsoft creating and designing reporting and dashboards within Power BI.

The role is based in Derby on site 2 days per week.

This responsibilities will include:

• Be the point of contact for the business in answering technical questions and providing technical advice on BI technologies
• Utilise your experience to lead complex technical discussions and provide relevant guidance to the team to solve technical queries
• Lead processes on ingesting raw data from a variety of data sources, perform required transformations, apply aggregations and any other data modelling processes to allow data to flow into Power BI
• Ensure Power BI performance is optimized through data modelling, data flow reviews and constant performance monitoring
• Assist the BI design manager and other BI developers in translating business needs to recorded technical specifications and data designs ready for ETL processes
• Collaborate with teams to integrate data from systems across a complex organisation with multiple brands and multiple levels through in person meetings, calls and workshops
• Collaborate closely with BI design to translate business requirements into data sets and data flows that ensure performance of Power BI at an enterprise level of usage
• Communicate issues, resolutions and solutions with the MI and BI team to ensure corrections are made in process

The key skills we are looking for are:

• Highly experienced in Power BI front and back end
• Knowledge of data engineering principles and language
• Track record in stakeholder engagement and influence
• Experienced at working in complex environments
• Experienced in working for a large business across multiple remits
• Exceptional communication skills
