Job description
Part-Time Management Accountant
Partnering with a established Property company, to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Management Accountant to join our growing team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant who is looking to work flexibly while playing a key role in supporting the financial operations of a dynamic group.
- Location: City of London
- Hours: 20 hours/week
- Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 pro rata
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across multiple projects and entities.
- Manage bank accounts and cash flow, producing regular cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity.
- Process and oversee group payment runs and monitor accounts payable/receivable activities.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including monthly bank reconciliations.
- Work closely with project teams to monitor project costs, margins, and performance against budgets.
- Conduct supplier credit checks and assist in procurement decision-making.
- Coordinate VAT and CIS returns in collaboration with external accountants to ensure compliance.
- Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors during the audit process.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to the senior management team.
- Attend budget holder and project review meetings to present financial insights and recommendations.
About You:
- Part-qualified/Finalist (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with VAT and CIS compliance is an advantage.
