Job description


My client, an outstanding business in the surrounding area of Weybridge, is looking for a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.


Hybrid Working - Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week


Key Duties:

  • Calculating purchasing income invoice and accrual values using distributor statistics and supplier trackers.
  • Collaborating with manufacturers and suppliers to confirm purchasing income invoice values.
  • Generating invoices using bespoke software.
  • Precisely recording invoice values on the Super Category invoice trackers.
  • Performing reconciliations between accrued and invoiced purchasing income values, investigating discrepancies, and resolving queries with internal stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of purchasing income.
  • Coordinating with Credit Control to address debt issues.
  • Approaching tasks with professional scepticism and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Continuously reviewing processes to identify and implement changes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures at all times.

  • Previous experience in analytical or financial roles.
  • Working towards or aspiring to achieve AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications.
  • Exceptional numeric and analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly commercial environment.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple work streams within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate large volumes of information and data from multiple sources.
  • Consistent attention to detail and accuracy, delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to work with professional scepticism.
