Which specialist roles are driving tax recruitment?
A multitude of changes across the course of the year, alongside ongoing demand for talent, have kept the tax market buoyant. This means securing the best tax talent is only getting more competitive.
As the focus on ESG increases, tax is becoming ever more important to the ESG agenda. This has created some interesting new roles, which are attracting candidates from many different specialisms. R&D and transfer price (TP) really came to the fore in 2023, with many firms expanding existing teams or creating new departments.
When it comes to attracting talent, compensation is not the hook it once was in 2022, with candidates now most interested in a company’s brand and culture, the role’s USPs and potential long-term career progression.
