Investigo Host ACA Newly Qualified Speed Networking Event

​Investigo hosted it’s second speed networking event with the Thames Valley Chartered Accountant Student Society, on Thursday 15th September in central Reading.

Building on the success of the previous year, the Reading team invited some of the most prestigious employers in the Thames Valley area and were delighted to host them at last night’s event. In attendance were Johnson & Johnson, Avis, Reckitt Benckiser, Akzo Nobel, Blatchford, Honda and Southern Communications.

The representatives from Avis commented: "It’s a great chance to talk informally about your business but also to convey a true sense of what it is like to work there. Also, it does help that it is held in a micro brewery".

Those part qualified, finalist and newly qualified attending from the chartered accountants society were invited to move around the businesses on the ring of the bell, giving them to opportunity to spend time with all the company representatives and gain a real insight into what a career at each would look like. Lee Cooper, Director of Investigo’s Reading and Guildford offices said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to investigate career choices direct from employers, not recruiters". This is a sentiment echoed by our invited accountants as one finalist from Deloitte said: "This is a chance to meet more top employers in one evening than I would be able to organise myself in my career".

A huge thank you to all those who attended the event. There was no shortage of passion or excellent merchandise from our engaging employers and we were delighted to see so many from the Society enjoyed the evening.
